Warum? is a small studio in Vienna where crocheted characters and textile objects with an identity of their own are made.
The name means “Why?” and stands for curiosity, memory and the small questions every story begins with.
Every figure is made slowly and entirely by hand. We use no bought patterns and no mass production. Each piece begins with an idea, a sketch or a memory and grows step by step into a unique character.
Everything is made in the studio in Vienna, with high-quality materials and plenty of time for every detail. Warum? brings together design, craft and a calm way of telling stories through objects that are meant to stay.
